Varnika joined Peter Bruce's lab in October 2019, working on solid state batteries. Before joining she was working on Graphene Quantum Dots for Solar Cells under the supervision of Andrew Watt.
Varnika graduated from a Bachelor's in Science Chemistry from Delhi University. During her undergrad she worked on the project titled " Design, Synthesis and Screening of Silver Nanoparticles as Novel Antibacterial and Antimalarial Agents".
