Bart graduated from the University of Warwick with a Masters of Chemistry (2021). His final year project was completed under the supervision of Professor Richard Walton, and focused on the hydrothermal synthesis of niobium oxyfluoride materials as electrodes in Na-ion batteries. Immediately following his degree he completed a research project for Infineum, developing and synthesizing carbon dispersants for use as commercial additives in battery electrodes.
He joined Professor Bruce’s group in October 2021 as a DPhil Student. His research aims to investigate Li diffusion through solid state electrolytes using NMR. When Bart is not in the lab, you’ll find him in the Cotswolds on his bike.
