Liquan joined Professor Peter Bruce’s group as a DPhil student in October 2019. His research focuses on the cathode materials of Li-ion batteries.
Liquan conducted his undergraduate study as a chemistry student at the University of Liverpool and Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University. During his undergraduate final year, he developed a series of visualisation models and animations of Li-ion battery materials on Chemtube3D, under the supervision of Professor Nick Greeves and Professor Laurence Hardwick. He then moved to Imperial College London for a master by research program where he conducted a computational project on ionic liquid-based electrolyte materials under the supervision of Professor Patricia Hunt and Dr Clotilde Cucinotta.
