Max Jenkins

DPhil StudentPhoto for Materials Department

Max received his undergraduate degree in Chemistry (2016) from the University of Southampton before returning in 2017 to complete an MSc by Research under the supervision of Professor Andrea Russell. During this time his research involved the use of ionic liquid electrolytes for lithium-air batteries, using Raman techniques to probe the electrode/electrolyte interface. Prior to returning to Southampton he worked at Nexeon Ltd conducting research into silicon anode technology for lithium-ion batteries.

Max joined Professor Peter Bruce’s group as a DPhil student in October 2018. His research currently focuses on  the materials chemistry and electrochemistry of the Lithium-Air battery.
