Rob House

DPhil studentRob House

Rob House joined Professor Peter Bruce's group as a postgraduate student in Autumn 2015. During his DPhil studies he is following some of the latest advances in the fields of Li-ion and Na-ion battery materials with a view to developing new, high voltage, high performance cathodes. His work focuses primarily on investigating the relation between the structure of layered transition metal oxides and their electrochemical redox behaviour.

Rob graduated from the University of Cambridge in Summer 2015 with a MSci in Natural Sciences where he specialised in his later years in Chemistry. During his final year he completed a research thesis investigating novel cathodes for Mg-ion batteries under the joint supervision of Professor Clare Grey (Department of Chemistry) and Dr Sian Dutton (Cavendish Laboratory).
