Dr Edouard Boivin

Edouard BoivinPostdoctoral Research Fellow

Edouard conducted his undergraduate studies in physicochemistry of inorganic materials at the Université de Bordeaux (France). Then, he obtained his Ph.D. entitled "Crystal chemistry of vanadium phosphates as positive electrode materials for Li-ion and Na-ion batteries", at the Université of Picardie Jules Verne (Amiens, France), in November 2017, under the supervision of Prof. Christian Masquelier (Laboratoire de Réactivité et de Chimie des Solides, LRCS), A/Prof. Jean-Noël Chotard (LRCS) and Dr Laurence Croguennec (Institut de Chimie de la Matière Condensée de Bordeaux, ICMCB).

Edouard joined the Bruce group in February 2018 as post-doctoral researcher and he is interested in cationic and anionic redox in transition metal oxides for high energy density Li-ion and Na-ion batteries. His work is focused on the investigation of the relation between the structure of the transition metal oxides and their electrochemical behavior.
